Cancellation Policy

As a therapist in private practice, I understand that life can be unpredictable, and situations may arise that prevent you from attending your scheduled session. To ensure my practice runs smoothly and fairly for all clients, I have implemented the following cancellation policy:

48-Hour Notice Requirement

If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice. This allows me to offer your appointment slot to another client.

Late Cancellations

If you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, I reserve the right to charge 50% of the session fee.

No-Shows

If you fail to attend a session without providing notice, the full session fee will be charged. Payment must be made before any further sessions can be booked, and your file may be placed on hold.

Exceptions

If an emergency or extenuating circumstance arises, please inform me as soon as possible, and we can discuss the situation.

Communication of Policy

This policy is communicated:

On my website
In the therapy agreement
In appointment confirmation emails
During the first session

I also send text or email reminders before each appointment.
